Loukatos Description
Mavrodaphne of Patras(P.D.O.) is one of the most famous and tasteful Greek wines. It is a red sweet wine, produced from grapes grown in the northwestern region of Achaia. Characteristic of this variety is that the longer it ages the more its merits emerge. It accompanies spicy cheeses, fruits and sweets.
Grape Varieties: 60% Mavrodaphne & 40% Black Corinthian
Characteristics: Fruity and sweet, with a good cut to the dark cherry, roasted plum and dried berry flavors. Asian spice and milk chocolate notes linger on the finish. Drink now through 2016. Aged 2 years in French Oak.
